Privacy policy
What NestAndName collects, what it doesn't, and how affiliate links and any email you give us are handled. Short version: we collect as little as possible.
NestAndName is a static guide site, and we collect as little as possible. We don't require an account, we don't sell data, and we don't run intrusive tracking. This page explains the few places any data is involved: analytics, affiliate links, and the optional email form.
What we collect
If we run analytics, it's privacy-friendly and aggregate — visit counts and which pages are read — with no attempt to identify you personally. If you enter your email into an alerts form, we use it only to send what you asked for and you can unsubscribe at any time; we never sell or rent it. Basic server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamp) may be recorded by our host for security and reliability, as is standard for any website.
Affiliate links and cookies
Some outbound links to registrars and hosts are affiliate links. When you click one, the provider (or its affiliate network) may set a cookie to attribute a later signup to us, which is how we earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That process is run by the provider under its own privacy policy, not by us. You can read how the commercial side works in our affiliate disclosure. You're free to clear cookies or visit any provider directly instead of through our links.
Your choices and contact
You can browse NestAndName without giving us any personal information, and you can ask us to delete any email you've shared by writing to [email protected]. If this policy changes, we'll update it here with a new date. Questions about your data are welcome at the same address.
